During a long weekend trip to Rainbow Beach in September of 2022, Nic proposed on top of Carlo Sandblow – he and Emily alone, on top of the world.
Since then, they’ve enjoyed their engagement, planned their honeymoon and eventually their wedding.
The couple asked the team at Elope Stradbroke to plan their wedding for them, so they could concentrate on planning their epic honeymoon.
The couple chose to marry with their toes in the white sand on one of the beautiful beaches of North Stradbroke Island. They chose a four post bamboo arbour with terracotta florals and white draping, which also provided a little shade on the sunny winter day.
Emily was serene in a strapless white dress with a tiered skirt, and a long white veil. She wore her hair out in loose curls. Nic was dapper in a beige linen suit, with an open necked white shirt.
After their morning ceremony and some family photos, the couple and their guests lunched at the Straddie Hotel, with views out over the aqua coloured ocean.
Once their guests had headed home, the couple enjoyed a romantic sunset photo shoot at some of the iconic clifftop locations on the island.
