Izzy and Josh's Stress-Free Midweek Micro Wedding surround by blooming Jacarandas

There’s something undeniably magical about a midweek wedding – fewer crowds and plenty of time to soak it all in. For Izzy and Josh, their micro wedding on a beautiful spring morning was nothing short of perfect.
It all began at Crystalbrook Vincent, where Izzy and Josh got ready (separately) for their big day. And their ceremony was held at the beautiful (not so busy) New Farm Park where the Jacaranda’s were in bloom.
Kandid Kombi was in full swing, first shuttling the groom and boys to the ceremony and then returning to escort Izzy, her sister (Maid of Honour), and their father to the park.
Guests arrived nice and early, enjoying the surrounds. Our Groom Josh, despite trying to play it cool, couldn’t quite hide his nerves. But Ketrina, our celebrant, was there to reassure him. Their three boys were doing their part— the teenager took charge of the music, while the littlest ones kept guests entertained and played “assistant photographers,” with their adorable toy cameras gifted to them for the ceremony. (Helps keep them entertained too)
With the magnificent tree providing a natural canopy, the ceremony setting was crafted by the talented Elope Brisbane team and the beautiful florals by Capalaba Carnations. It was absolutely stunning and our Bride Izzy was thrilled to bits.
Before settling into the ceremony, we had a bit of fun! Everyone was invited to take selfies and upload them to the couple’s ‘Wedbox’ app as a keepsake.
Tears flowed as Izzy walked down the aisle with Dad. The simple yet heartfelt ceremony was filled with touching family acknowledgments and a few light-hearted moments reminiscing about Izzy and Josh’s eight years together. They exchanged personal vows, exchange rings and then sealed the deal with a kiss. Wahoo!!! All hitched!!! We signed the certificates, and then sent the Newly-Weds back down the aisle on their married way… through a wave of bubbles and a sea of congratulations.
After some beautiful and well-organized group photos, everyone gathered for drinks in the historical New Farm Rotunda. And then onto Greca at Howard Smith Wharves for a celebratory lunch. There, they were greeted with a gorgeous wedding cake crafted by none other than Cakes by Simone.
Another flawless wedding by the Elope Brisbane team. Our bride Izzy shared how the initial process of wedding planning had been overwhelming. “Planning a wedding was becoming so stressful… just looking for vendors was too much,” she said. But Josh took matters into his own hands, he said. “I ‘Googled’ and Elope Brisbane was one of the first to come up with all-inclusive packages. I checked the reviews… all glowing, so we made contact,”
We’re so glad you did Izzy and Josh!! We are honoured to have shared in your marrying journey. Congratulations !!!
